Race Series 2009
This is my favorite race. No frills. Just a run through the countryside. The organizers only request a couple of bags of food for the local food pantry. The 10-Mile distance is challenging enough, especially with the monster hill at Mile 8. (Same run as The Laborious Labor Day Ten Miler)
I enjoyed this race. My personal best time for the half marathon. It was hilly but a nice day for running and I was feeling good. Capped off by a post-race feast!
My hometown trail race, run at Callahan State Park, where I ran so often with Dexter the Dog. Unfortunately, there was some confusion over the course. Still, it's a great place to run!
Beautiful run through the woods. Well organized and fun. I took a few spills trying to go to fast and wore home skinned knees as participant badges.
A nice run through the countryside. I ran with a couple of high school guys and they kept my pace up.
My first half marathon. Sort of a test for me. It was a long drive out to Cape Cod and I was rewarded by a well-organized, fun race. I found out later I finished first in my age-group for my weight division!
This is my favorite race. No frills. Just a run through the countryside. The organizers only request a couple of bags of food for the local food pantry. The 10-Mile distance is challenging enough, especially with the monster hill at Mile 8. Personal Best 10M! (Same run as The Tough Ten Mile Turkey Trot)
A fun run on grass. I was gunning for 24M and I met my goal.
10M Out and Back on a Single Track. This was run along the Mighty Merrimack River on my favorite work running trail.
